This song is the first off of an upcoming project that details the ideas and contemplations of memory and how it affects our lives. This song looks at an outside perspective of memory, or a type of memory that we experience. The word prehensile is used to describe tails of monkeys that are capable of grasping branches and other objects. The reason this song is called prehensile is because it is a reflection of memories that we have of times in our life that were significant, but at the time they happened we didn't know why. It is a common affliction where we are capable of grasping the fact that what is happening to us is important, but it has not played out yet. There is something that is thrilling, terrifying, and exciting about that all together.
