lyrics

Staring into the sun
Oh it all just seems so fun
And the sights ahead that we
Expect
Staring down below
Oh it all just seems so slow
Even with all that I've climbed

I can't begin to reconcile
The shift along while
I attempted to climb
This mount
And I can't begin to perceive
What I have left to breathe
Out of the things the lead
Me down

And from the morning muse
To the afternoon blues
All that confuses
Resounds

Way up high
Reeling in these lines
Way below
I need the space to grow
Way up high
Where the sun meets the sky
It's just the trails of planes and I

I can't even try to begin
To take the gamut in
I can't even attempt to start
To gently pardon
I can't seem to construct
This insanely abrupt
Metamorphosis from who
I was

And from the nightly tunes
To the midday ruse
What I have left to lose
I have yet to find

It recedes
While the hands move it bleeds
It slips through the cracks
Well you know it's all just a neural act
It splits from the memory
Fading with each decnnary
Just like the painting
You know that one from Dalí

So loosen the grip
Let it leave your hands
Just keep it as a relic
Within your chest
Break from the mold
Move from the brink
Let it be written in stone
Before the engrained all sinks

It trickles down
Like water to the ground
From the mountains to the lakes
The streams that nearly erase
It's the snow that falls
Before we have caught the moss
It's the trees that burn
Only for the green to return

So go and take the controls
So we can gently land on our feet
Always bring down the flaps
Surf the current and repeat
Remember to drop down the wheels
And let them soften the blow
Let them strengthen the landing roll
And come in slow
